"Rachel came to Reno, NV a couple of weeks ago to shoot my wedding and did a fantastic job! She communicated excellently with me from the very start asking lots of questions and even for contact information for the officiant and video guy ahead of time so that she could coordinate efforts. She took photos all day... us getting ready, some sexy boudoir pics for my husband, first look, ceremony, reception, sunset, moon, family, and bridal party pics! She was ON IT for 8 plus hours that day and the end product was phenomenal. Rachel is genuinely a pleasure to be around and naturally, brings out the best in people and in turn their photos. Do you do family mini sessions?
I do not typically offer mini-sessions for families. This is because I like to spend time with my clients and work to get genuine smiles and really capture personalities. When I travel (usually to Nevada, California, and New Hampshire) I will put together packages and offer 45-minute sessions back to back. I also offer mini sessions for kids and moms for Mother's Day. When will I get my photos?
You will see sneak peeks on Facebook typically a few hours after your session (sometimes a day or two for weddings). You will have your gallery in 2 weeks or less (unless I tell you otherwise). Wedding galleries are usually sent out in one month's time. Prints take about a week or two, depending on what size you order and where you are located.
Can I just buy all of the high-resolution files?
Yes, you can! Email me for package information. Some of my packages include all of the high-resolution files on a custom USB with a print release. The release will allow you to print the images from the retailer of your choice. However, I retain the copyright to all of my photos and you will not be permitted to use them for financial gain in any way. I also do not permit you to edit the photos (including Instagram and other app filters). I always urge you to print your photos! I offer competitive print pricing and can work with you on what options are best for your home and/or gifts.
What do I wear?
My answer to this is always: BE COMFORTABLE! Make sure everyone is comfortable. I do not have a client closet because I will be taking photos of YOUR family as you are. If your three-year-old refuses to wear anything but her Wonder Woman shirt and purple tutu...so be it. That is who she is right now. I usually tell moms to dress themselves first and to make sure that they feel awesome in what they are wearing...then worry about the rest of the family. I advise against thin stripes, logos, and text.
How much will this whole thing cost?

I just need ONE photo. How much for that? OR Can you just do this photo I found on Pinterest for me?
HA! Don't we all? My sessions usually include a posed family photo, photos with each parent and the kids, portraits of each kid, and photos of the parents as well. There will be a lot of action shots! My job is to take photos of YOUR FAMILY and who YOU ARE! You will never see a "perfect" Instagram feed from me because each session is different. Every family and every person is different and I enjoy the challenge of showcasing who my clients are, as opposed to making "Pinterest-perfect", matching smiling portraits. My sessions are a bit different from what you might be used to as I try to keep them low stress for everyone and involve children in the process to a point where they will be comfortable! Is there a reason that you specialize in small, backyard weddings?
Why yes there is! It is because I love them! I have shot huge weddings, small weddings, informal weddings, black-tie weddings, and a lot of stuff in between. My favorite of all is the intimate affair that really focuses on the couple and the family and the love and the friends.
