"We were delighted to meet Rachel in person. She was very warm, friendly, and professional. A few minutes into our first shoot (maternity), I felt as though I'd known her for years. She helped me to relax and made us laugh. I don't usually love having my picture taken!" - Kristin

"Thank you for being such a big part of making my wedding day so special...I keep getting raves about you and the pix are still to come! You are a true professional and your warmth and charm come out even when you are working so, so hard! THANK YOU!!!" - Teresa

"She will always be our family photographer.  I highly recommend her to capture all the important moments in life." -Ashley

"Not only does she take amazing photographs, but she is also personable and very good with children. She understands if you need to pause to feed baby or reschedule because your kid got sick. Rachel takes great candid and real-life shots. She always comes with great ideas for new photos and is also willing to try any ideas we may have. Her prices are reasonable and she works quickly so you don't have to wait long to get your photos. I highly recommend her services." -Julie

"I am sitting down to look at this newborn shoot of yours and have only gotten through a handful of images and am in tears... Your work is just so beautiful and I am so grateful to have found you to document these moments we will never have back. Thank you again for your time and patience. You are a true talent! My sincerest love and thanks to you... ." - Quinn

"Rachel came to Reno, NV a couple of weeks ago to shoot my wedding and did a fantastic job!  She communicated excellently with me from the very start asking lots of questions and even for contact information for the officiant and video guy ahead of time so that she could coordinate efforts. She took photos all day... us getting ready, some sexy boudoir pics for my husband, first look, ceremony, reception, sunset, moon, family, and bridal party pics! She was ON IT for 8 plus hours that day and the end product was phenomenal.  Rachel is genuinely a pleasure to be around and naturally brings out the best in people and in turn their photos. She is a blast to work with and incredibly patient! You could tell that she was invested in the job, she knew family member's and member's of the bridal parties names in no time and paid special attention to make sure and get candid shots of key people throughout the event.
The turn around for our pictures was less than 2 weeks and they all ended up AMAZING.  I was literally in tears when I was reviewing the gallery.  Her website is very user friendly and makes sharing photos with friends and family easy while enabling you to keep the ones you want private ;).
I would recommend Rachel to anyone with confidence that they would be happy with her work!  Keep shooting lady, you are very talented." - Nikki

"We've been so lucky to have Rachel in our lives. She's photographed years of memories and my family has grown to love her as a friend. She knows our quirks inside and out, knows how to capture good photos, even when we're cranky with each other. She's the BEST! You will NEVER be disappointed in her work or in her as a human being. Truly the best of the best." - Leila

Do you do family mini sessions?

I do not typically offer mini sessions for families. This is because I like to spend time with my clients and work to get genuine smiles and really capture personalities. When I travel (usually to Nevada, California, and New Hampshire) I will put together packages and offer 45 minute sessions back to back. I also offer mini sessions for kids and moms for Mother's Day. Stay tuned to my social media for information about any of these. Mesa Family Photographer Rachel Elizabeth Photography on Facebook  Rachel Elizabeth Photography on Instagram

When will I get my photos?

You will see sneak peeks on Facebook typically a few hours after your session (sometimes a day or two for weddings). You will have your gallery in 2 weeks or less (unless I tell you otherwise). Wedding galleries are usually sent out in one month's time. Prints take about a week or two, depending on what size you order and where you are located.

Can I just buy all of the high resolution files?

Yes you can! Email me for package information. Some of my packages include all of the high resolution files on a custom USB with a print release. The release will allow you to print the images from the retailer of your choice. However, I retain the copyright to all of my photos and you will not be permitted to use them for financial gain in any way. I also do not permit you to edit the photos (including Instagram and other app filters). I always urge you to print your photos! I offer competitive print pricing and can work with you on what options are best for your home and/or gifts.

What do I wear?

My answer to this is always: BE COMFORTABLE! Make sure everyone is comfortable. If your three year old refuses to wear anything but her Wonder Woman shirt and purple tutu...so be it. That is who she is right now. I usually tell moms to dress themselves first and to make sure that they feel awesome in what they are wearing...then worry about the rest of the family. I advise against thin stripes, logos, and text.

How much will this whole thing cost?

That's a great question. Most of my clients spend between $225 and $650 on a family shoot, $225 and $1000 on maternity and newborn, and $225 and $675 on a senior session. Weddings start at $1800 and go up to $2600 without add-ons. Send me an email or give me a call and we can chat about it. I totally understand having a family budget and am happy to talk to you about what will work for you!

I just need ONE photo. How much for that? OR Can you just do this photo I found on Pinterest for me?

HA! Don't we all? My sessions usually include a posed family photo, photos with each parent and the kids, portraits of each kid, and photos of the parents as well. There will be a lot of action shots! My job is take photos of YOUR FAMILY and who YOU ARE! You will never see a "perfect" Instagram feed from me because each session is different. Every family and every person is different and I enjoy the challenge of showcasing who my clients are, as opposed to making "pinterest-perfect", matching, smiling portraits. My sessions are a bit different from what you might be used to as I try to keep them low stress for everyone and involve children in the process to a point where they will be comfortable! Have a look at my site, my Instagram, and my Facebook page and contact me if you like what you see!

Is there a reason that you specialize in small, backyard weddings?

Why yes there is! It is because I love them! I have shot huge weddings, small weddings, informal weddings, black tie weddings, and a lot of stuff in between. My favorite of all is the intimate affair that really focuses on the couple and the family and the love and the friends. I will be happy to chat with you about your wedding day plans and to send you full galleries of weddings that I have done. Mesa Wedding Photographer
